We are looking forward to meeting you!
SouthCoast Wind has been out and about collaborating with many local Rhode Island communities and has established partnerships with Roger Williams University, Clean Ocean Access, U.S. Sailing, Portsmouth Little League, and the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce, among others.

Meet Rebecca Doughty our new Community Liaison Officer based in Newport

“I’m a proud Newport resident and Rhode Island native. I graduated from URI with a B.A. in Political Science and became interested in environmental policy after my internship with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management in the Office of Compliance and Inspection.
Most recently, I worked as a Fisheries Technician for the Rhode Island Division of Marine Fisheries and worked with recreational fishermen around Rhode Island to record data on their individual catch and fishing efforts.
Offshore wind inspires the large-scale innovation needed to tackle a problem as big as climate change and I’m so excited to join the SouthCoast Wind team to facilitate this clean energy transition.”
Rebecca joins Dugan Becker, our Community Liaison Officer, also based in Newport, RI. Please reach out to them with any questions, or requests for additional information at info@southcoastwind.com.
