Mariners

SouthCoast Wind’s Mariner Updates provide important details of operational activities within our lease area including the type of work, locations, estimated timeline, and vessel information.

During 2023 multiple vessels conducted geophysical & geotechnical (G&G) surveys to characterize the ocean floor conditions within federal and state waters. Survey work studies the seabed and soil conditions to inform our project’s engineering and determine the best project design and environmental measures required.

The Mount Hope Bay sediment sampling survey work was completed in October 2023. The sediment sampling is a requirement for SouthCoast Wind’s Mass 401 Water Quality Certification (WQC) dredging permit.
